About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure. The technician will troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, as well as perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance. The position also involves some production duties, housekeeping, and administrative reporting for Site HSE plans. The role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various shift patterns and overtime.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a mechanic/electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experienced at installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Experienced maintaining and troubleshooting PLC systems.
• Knowledge of motor controls, process instrumentation loops and mechanical drives.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experienced with DC, single phase AC, and three phase AC power.
• Experience repairing/rebuilding complex mechanical equipment to close tolerances.
• Experienced in metal cutting, welding and fabricating.
• Experienced in pipe fitting with both metal and PVC pipe and fittings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced lift truck operator.
• Heavy manual lifting (routinely 25-50 lbs/max lifting of 100 lbs.).
• Climb ladders and work at heights of 50 ft or higher.
• Be able to work outdoors, if needed, during inclement weather.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with little supervision.
• Flexible to work a variety of shift patterns and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and make repairs as necessary.
• Perform routine safety and environmental inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility support equipment and building infrastructure.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with a written Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Maintain accuracy of equipment drawings and manuals as modifications are made.
• On a limited basis, perform production duties as needed.
• Housekeeping associated with maintenance and production as needed.
• Perform any other duties that may arise in the area of Site Maintenance.
• Administrate reporting requirements for Site HSE plans
