About The Position

Francis W. Parker School is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for the upkeep of all machines, mechanical equipment, furniture, and the school buildings and grounds. The role involves a variety of tasks including carpentry, drywall, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, groundskeeping, and event setup/breakdown. The school is a JK-12th grade independent day school committed to progressive education and fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED required
At least three (3) years of basic experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work (basic HVAC experience is a plus)
Successful candidate must pass criminal background check

Nice To Haves

Experience with Johnson Metasys building control system preferred (or equivalent building automation system)

Responsibilities

Implement repairs and routine maintenance as needed to ensure regular and complete maintenance of the school facility to keep the buildings and grounds fully functional, safe and code compliant
Perform major and minor repairs to interior and exterior of the buildings as needed
Perform carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, lock repair and general preventative maintenance (specializing in carpentry is strongly desired)
Assist with grounds keeping and landscaping duties when needed, including snow removal
Assist with house keeping duties if needed
Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff and other maintenance personnel
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Perform setup and breakdown of equipment for school events
