About The Position

Performs basic electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry work. Responsible for the installation, maintenance (preventive and corrective), troubleshooting, and repair of facility buildings and equipment. This includes renovations to rooms and apartments. The role involves working with other departments on special assignments and requires availability for on-call coverage, shift changes, and emergency 12-hour shifts (e.g., snow removal, hurricane clean-up). Snow removal/storm clean-up duties may include shoveling and cleaning entranceways, walkways, and parking lots of snow, ice, and debris. The position also assists with spill clean-up and requires the ability to work for residents in independent living and assisted living facilities.

Requirements

Valid Drivers License Required
Basic Computer Skills to complete online training

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
Program Graduate, Trade Training in HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical
2 years Maintenance experience
Universal EPA CFC/HCFC Refrigerant Certification
Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job

Responsibilities

Maintains a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, CMS, State and other related regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients/residents, visitors and staff.
Follows guidelines for proper body mechanics, hazardous materials handling and universal precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
Maintains a safe work area.
Responds appropriately as Protection to codes.
Demonstrates responsible, dependable and reliable behavior by being present for work as scheduled.
Adheres to attendance policy.
