About The Position

Van-Am Tool & Engineering is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support advanced maintenance operations across our two St. Joseph manufacturing facilities. This is a high-impact maintenance role responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment serving the aerospace and defense industries. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $30–$35 per hour based on maintenance experience, technical skill level, and overall manufacturing background. This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who can work independently, diagnose complex equipment issues, and help drive manufacturing uptime and operational performance. The Maintenance Technician will support stamping presses, CNC equipment, fabrication equipment, robotic weld cells, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and facility infrastructure while partnering with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong industrial maintenance troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical maintenance experience
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment and robotic weld cells
  • Preventive maintenance and equipment reliability experience required
  • Valid driver's license required

  • Performing daily maintenance and repair
  • Leading preventive maintenance activities
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation
  • Supporting facility maintenance including HVAC systems, compressed air systems, lighting, plumbing, and general building infrastructure
