The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and improvement of company-owned and managed multi-unit commercial buildings, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and cost-efficient. This role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on both the interior and exterior of one or more facilities to support optimal building operations.

Requirements

At least three years of maintenance experience in commercial property management.
High school diploma, GED, or a one-year certificate required.
Must have a valid OH driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and a safe driving record.
Must provide own basic hand tools and have experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance, repair techniques, and troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinklers, security systems, and general property upkeep.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and manuals to prioritize, schedule, and document maintenance tasks.
Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Work with outside contractors for repairs and maintenance tasks that cannot be performed in-house.
Address tenant requests for heating and cooling issues, respond promptly to emergencies, and ensure all facilities maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
