About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs routine and specialized maintenance on highly automated, state-of-the-art glass production equipment. The role requires manufacturing maintenance experience and strong troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of pneumatics, industrial electrical systems, controls systems, and mechanical processes. Equipment includes tempering furnaces, automated cutting systems, automated insulating equipment, and spacer forming and assembly equipment. This position works overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on a 2/2/3 schedule. Pay depends on experience. All hires are subject to a background check. The employer is not considering candidates who require sponsorship.

Requirements

Maintenance experience in manufacturing is required.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of pneumatics, industrial electrical systems, controls systems, and mechanical processes.
Basic electrical and mechanical understanding.
Candidates must not require sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform in-depth repairs, lead projects, and complete preventative maintenance tasks safely and professionally.
Ensure work and procedures conform to world-class standards.
Follow and enforce WXIG policies and practices.
Participate in and lead team training in safety, repair and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, and equipment use.
Assist with the Maintenance Development Program and train other technicians.
Use the CMMS to prioritize work orders and tasks for completion.
Monitor work areas, examine tools, and inspect equipment to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
Respond to breakdown calls and repair equipment safely, professionally, and promptly.
Record relevant labor, equipment, and parts information in the CMMS.
Communicate with management, engineering, quality control, and production to identify needs.
Enforce and practice the company’s Mission, Intent, and Values.
Perform routine and specialized maintenance on production and assembly equipment.
