About The Position

Cardinal CG Maintenance Technicians perform a range of tasks involving the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment in the coating facility. Work is performed in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes that support the Cardinal Coating Plant. The position requires a team-oriented approach, flexibility to respond to unscheduled plant issues, and adherence to safety practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to grip at least 30 pounds; lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 or more pounds with assistance from another technician or a mechanical device.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk forward, backward, and sideways on concrete; may walk 6,000 to 10,000 steps per shift.
• Ability to perform elevated work using lifts and access work areas with ladders and steps.
• Flexibility in schedule and job duties, including adapting to competing tasks and plant needs.
• Demonstrated solid work ethic, good decision-making, and ability to function as part of a team-based environment.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, collaborate, and apply troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Maintenance, welding, or technical classes.
• Electrical classes and schematic-reading skills; preferred but not required.
• PLC knowledge, including Siemens and Allen Bradley, is a plus.
• Electrical troubleshooting, 24V troubleshooting, schematic reading, and multi-craft skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in the coating facility.
• Follow safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes.
• Prioritize tasks and respond flexibly to unscheduled issues or problems at the plant.
• Collaborate with other technicians and work effectively in a team-based environment to complete tasks.
• Follow safety practices and procedures, including LOTO protocol and PPE usage, observe Arc Flash safety, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
