A Brief Overview The Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, while collaborating with team members to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in achieving plant productivity and safety goals by ensuring the reliability of all manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • 1-3 years in equipment maintenance and repair within a manufacturing environment (Required)
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems repair. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. (High proficiency)
  • Problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting. (High proficiency)
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices. (High proficiency)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills. (High proficiency)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for recordkeeping and reporting. (Low proficiency)
  • Proficient in using CMMS software for work order management. (Low proficiency)

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years with CMMS software for managing work orders and recording maintenance data (Preferred)
  • Industrial Maintenance or Electrician Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, to maintain peak performance and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose equipment issues quickly and accurately, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to resolve mechanical or electrical malfunctions.
  • Coordinate with the MRO Buyer and maintenance planner to ensure the availability of necessary parts and tools for maintenance tasks, helping control inventory and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and corrective actions, within the CMMS system to support maintenance KPIs and compliance reporting.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements during all maintenance tasks, conducting safety checks and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment safety.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to coordinate maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to production and ensuring clear communication on equipment status.
