About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will work onsite at Conagra Brand Foods (Vlasic), located in Imlay City, Michigan. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of technical challenges. The technician will perform preventive maintenance of production equipment, along with repair and rebuild of equipment. Openings are available on both the afternoon and midnight shifts. The role operates within a team environment, reporting to the shift supervisor. Daily overtime and weekends are scheduled based on business demand. The hourly rate is determined by experience, skills, and certifications. The full mechanical rate is $31.08 + $0.40/hour for the 3rd shift. Eligible for Michigan Earned Sick Time, earning one hour for every thirty hours worked. The company offers on-the-job training and advancement opportunities, including paid Amatrol training to gain valuable technical skills.

Requirements

Fabrication, machine shop skills and a mechanical background.
Develop working relationships to ensure correction of machine failures and implement preventative maintenance measures.
Complete work orders and record material used on jobs.
Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including forklift, mechanical lifts, ladders, scaffolding and hand tools.
Working knowledge of conveyors, variable frequency drives, electrical motors and industrial controls.
Use blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
Work daily/weekend overtime as scheduled.
High School Diploma or GED required.

Welding, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps, Gearboxes, and Boilers.
