About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will work onsite at Conagra Brand Foods (Vlasic), located in Imlay City, Michigan. This position offers a variety of technical challenges, involving performing preventive maintenance of production equipment along with repair and rebuild of equipment. Openings are available on both the afternoon and midnight shifts. The role operates within a team environment, reporting to the shift supervisor. Daily overtime and weekends are scheduled based on business demand.

Requirements

Fabrication skills.
Machine shop skills.
Mechanical background.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Welding skills.
Hydraulics knowledge.
Pneumatics knowledge.
Pumps knowledge.
Gearboxes knowledge.
Boilers knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Experience/ Skills/ Certifications to determine hourly rate.
Working knowledge of conveyors, variable frequency drives, electrical motors and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance of production equipment.
Repair and rebuild of equipment.
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and recommend improvements for equipment.
Review daily schedule to ensure equipment setup.
Ensure compliance with plant safety and environmental regulations.
Develop working relationships to ensure correction of machine failures and implement preventative maintenance measures.
Complete work orders and record material used on jobs.
Operate a variety of equipment, including forklift, mechanical lifts, ladders, scaffolding and hand tools.
Use blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
