About The Position
Join Alsco’s Edmonton facility as a Maintenance Technician supporting large industrial textile-processing equipment. You’ll keep equipment running safely and reliably, reduce downtime, and collaborate directly with the Chief and production teams. This is a day-shift role, Monday through Friday, with rotating start times (5:00 AM / 6:30 AM / 8:30 AM) and occasional weekend coverage.
Requirements
- 5th Class Power Engineer with 2 years of industrial plant maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- PLC programming experience.
- Boiler operator ticket, welding certification, forklift ticket.
- Experience reading electrical schematics.
- Expereinced with CMMS and preventative maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial processing equipment, boilers, water systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to daily and emergency maintenance requests.
- Troubleshoot electrical (including 3‑phase 230V), mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and boiler systems.
- Read and follow blueprints, electrical schematics and manufacturer manuals.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS and document repairs/parts.
- Assist with parts transport, equipment moves and other facility tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement activities.
