About The Position

Rogers Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Jacks Mountain Quarry in Glade Hill, VA. This role involves performing fixed plant repairs in an aggregate processing facility and assisting with production duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and fixed plant repair, with a commitment to safety excellence. Experience in metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair is preferred.

Requirements

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• At least 1 year of previous professional welding experience (mig and stick welding).
• Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience.
• Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed.
• Self-motivated individual.
• Must be flexible on working hours and locations.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to use cutting torch and welder.
• Demonstrated heavy industrial field welding abilities.
• Must be able to multi-task and be mechanically inclined.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or background in metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair.
• Experience in steel erection/destruction - fabricating, cutting, fitting, and welding.
• Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens.
• Previous mining/quarry/maintenance experience.
• Crane experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing fixed plant repairs in an aggregate processing facility.
• Assisting with various production duties as needed.
• Performing required duties independently, without constant supervision.
• Performing any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
• Working outside in a variety of conditions.
