About The Position

Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual to fill a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position for our Jacks Mountain Quarry located in Glade Hill, VA. This individual will be responsible for performing fixed plant repairs in an aggregate processing facility and assisting with various production duties as needed. This individual performs various tasks in an aggregate processing facility. Crane experience a plus. Must possess ability to use cutting torch and welder and show demonstrated heavy industrial field welding abilities. Must be able to multi-task and be mechanically inclined.

Requirements

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• At least 1 year of previous professional welding experience is required – with emphasis on mig and stick welding.
• Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed.
• Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
• Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments.
• May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Demonstrated heavy industrial field welding abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or background in metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair
• Experience in steel erection/destruction - fabricating, cutting, fitting, and welding
• Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens
• Previous mining/quarry/maintenance experience
• Crane experience
