About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our property. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks while delivering excellent service to tenants and ensuring the building remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of building maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Experience using CMMS systems (e.g., 360 Facility/Rediworks preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient with computers and handheld devices
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong attendance and flexibility with work schedules
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to tenant service requests
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on building systems, including: Doors, floors, walls, ceilings, and fixtures; Plumbing systems and restroom equipment; Locks, keys, and architectural features
  • Complete and track work orders using a CMMS system
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Assist engineers and coordinate with contractors and vendors
  • Respond to emergency situations (fire, evacuations, equipment failures)
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and maintenance documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
  • Maintain clean and organized mechanical rooms and equipment areas
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies
  • Communicate daily with management, tenants, and team members
  • Support overall facility appearance and operational excellence
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, drainage, and tenant equipment
  • Perform minor repairs to walls, ceilings, flooring, and furniture
  • Install fixtures such as signage, cabinets, and equipment
  • Prepare incident and maintenance reports as needed
  • Assist with coordination of janitorial and day porter staff
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by engineering leadership
