About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to diagnose equipment failures quickly, and the capability to work independently. The Maintenance Technician supports production by minimizing downtime, performing corrective repairs, and assisting with preventative maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Forklift Certification (subject to monthly random drug screening)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
  • Must have knowledge of single and three phases electric, AC, DC high and low voltages.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (speaking, reading and writing)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting preferred.
  • NEC and NFPA 70E Qualified Person preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production machinery.
  • Repair or replace defective components including motors, sensors, drives, belts, bearings, and control devices.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical circuits.
  • Respond promptly to production calls to minimize downtime.
  • Perform emergency repairs during shift as needed.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Inspect machinery for wear, misalignment, and mechanical deficiencies.
  • Lubricate, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Document maintenance work performed and report recurring issues.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting (up to 480 volts).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair AC/DC variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, and associated industrial control systems.
  • Replace or repair motors, contactors, relays, switches, and control components.
  • Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and installations.
  • Communicate recurring equipment issues to management.
