About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of industrial heat treating furnaces, vacuum washers, conveyor systems, blasting equipment, robotics and general building maintenance for the Bowling Green production facility, as well as supporting projects at remote customer locations. Duties include: Approaching all tasks with a safety first mindset, protecting the well being of yourself and your team. Optimizing equipment and machinery performance through the maintenance and preventative processes prescribed, with limited a fair level of autonomy. Partnering with the production team to address and quickly respond to equipment failures and problem resolution. Provide support to field engineering services for installation and maintenance at customer sites a minimum of once per month, with trips ranging from a day to a week. Facilitate continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices. Working knowledge of electrical systems. Machine troubleshooting and maintenance. Metal fabrication/welding/ Pipe fitting.

Requirements

  • A high school education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years solid maintenance experience with machinery in a production environment.
  • Able to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints; electrical and mechanical.
  • Solid mechanical and or electrical working knowledge required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability and willingness to work OT and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, repetitive motion bending and stretching, and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, with assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to functionality/programming in installation of temperature controls a plus.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Strong electrical will warrant a higher pay rate.
