About The Position
Sun Realty has managed vacation homes on the Outer Banks for over 46 years. We're hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our homeowners' properties in top shape and our guests' stays problem-free.
Requirements
- 2+ years of general maintenance experience
- Basic carpentry skills (advanced carpentry or drywall/finishing experience a plus)
- Basic knowledge of residential plumbing
- A valid driver's license, held for 3+ years, with a clean driving record
- Hearing, speaking, seeing, walking, standing, sitting, driving, reaching bending climbing steps/ladders, and lifting 50-85+ pounds
- Reading, comprehension, legible writing skills and effective written and verbal communication in the English language
- A valid, active NC driver license for a minimum of 3 years (clean MVR)
- The operation of basic tools and equipment
- Smart phone or similar electronic device
- Regular, punctual attendance required

- Advanced carpentry or drywall/finishing experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair issues across assigned properties — plumbing, basic carpentry, drywall, and general repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests and keep homes guest-ready
- Work independently, using a company smartphone to manage your daily assignments
