About The Position

The Maintenance Technician helps ensure the safe, reliable operation of facility infrastructure. The role involves routine and emergency maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems, and identifying potential issues before they cause downtime. The technician collaborates with team members and departments to prioritize requests and complete projects efficiently, contributing to the longevity and operational performance of facility assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in plumbing, mechanical repair, electrical wiring, and carpentry.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and perform manual labor.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to talk and hear effectively in a work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, or a related field.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to facility maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Previous experience in a commercial or industrial maintenance setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and structural components.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving mechanical equipment, carpentry, drywall, and electrical systems.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure repairs and installations meet specifications and safety standards.
• Climb ladders and access confined spaces safely to perform maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, report issues to management, and recommend improvements to system reliability.
