Maintance Technician

The Maintenance Technician at Savage’s Williston Facility will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of equipment used at the facility. Requirements
- Experience in troubleshooting, repairing hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems, in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems, and being able to visually recognize problems a big plus
- Be able to read, write, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions, excellent communication skills
- Self-starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies, and policies, and ability to be on call at designated times
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion, a strong record of continuous improvement, personal development, and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform minor/major repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on pickups, mobile equipment, conveyors, tractors, and trailers
- Assists with other facility mechanical repairs as necessary, maintains shop cleanliness and parts inventory
- Learn and partner with the Maintenance Manager to utilize Manager Plus and SAP as a tool of organization and preventative maintenance record-keeping
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Follow proper safety rules, maintenance, and operating procedures
- Assist with writing and revising maintenance procedures as needed
- Conduct a significant amount of preventative maintenance, prepared to help with anything requiring attention, as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Effective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors, and other team members
