The Maintenance Technician at Savage’s Williston Facility will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of equipment used at the facility. Requirements

  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems, in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems, and being able to visually recognize problems a big plus
  • Be able to read, write, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions, excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies, and policies, and ability to be on call at designated times
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion, a strong record of continuous improvement, personal development, and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor/major repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on pickups, mobile equipment, conveyors, tractors, and trailers
  • Assists with other facility mechanical repairs as necessary, maintains shop cleanliness and parts inventory
  • Learn and partner with the Maintenance Manager to utilize Manager Plus and SAP as a tool of organization and preventative maintenance record-keeping
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Follow proper safety rules, maintenance, and operating procedures
  • Assist with writing and revising maintenance procedures as needed
  • Conduct a significant amount of preventative maintenance, prepared to help with anything requiring attention, as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Effective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors, and other team members
