About The Position

At JTEKT Automotive Tennessee Vonore, our Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced automated production equipment in a fast-paced Tier-1 automotive manufacturing environment. You will be the go-to expert for solving complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues—helping minimize downtime and keep production on track. From diagnosing equipment failures to making real-time repairs and improvements, your work directly impacts productivity, quality, and overall operational success. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of safety and environmental systems

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, washers, powder coat, and assembly systems across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic functions.
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including three-phase power, PLCs, and CNC controls
  • Diagnose AC/DC drives, servo motors, and related components
  • Support mechanical systems including gearboxes, ball screws, rails, and bearings
  • Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, welding, and grinding
  • Troubleshoot and modify pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Use precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools
  • Identify, source, and replace parts; modify equipment as needed
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
