Ironclad Properties Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for performing general building maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, completing preventative maintenance, and supporting inspections across residential properties.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in building maintenance, quality control, commissioning, building turnover, or a related field
  • Practical knowledge of building systems with the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform basic repairs
  • Experience safely operating common power tools and maintenance equipment, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and proper PPE use
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in inspections and documentation
  • Reliable, hardworking team player with clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, climbing, and performing other job-related physical duties
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work orders and accurately document maintenance reports
  • Perform common repairs including basic plumbing and electrical work, testing, and reporting
  • Install and conduct minor repairs on appliances as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair heating and air conditioning systems
  • Diagnose and locate faults in circuits, components, and equipment
  • Inspect and test electronic equipment, components, and assemblies
  • Perform general maintenance including patching and painting, repairs to doors and windows, cabinets, and various fixtures
  • Conduct daily property and mechanical system checks, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance for building systems
  • Adjust, align, replace, or repair electronic equipment and components in accordance with equipment manuals and schematics
  • Assist with semi-annual suite inspections and pre-move-out inspections
  • Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service technicians working on-site and on building mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Property Manager to plan and prioritize maintenance activities
  • Identify deficiencies in newly constructed buildings and coordinate warranty repairs with trades
  • Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls as required
