About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a foam packaging manufacturing operation in St. Petersburg, FL. This facility specializes in custom-engineered protective packaging, including Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and cold-chain solutions for pharmaceuticals and perishable products. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment used in foam molding, cutting, and packaging processes. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with electrical systems (motors, sensors, basic controls)
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and compressed air systems
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or equipment manuals
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• Experience with steam, heat-based, or molding equipment is a plus
• Experience in foam, plastics, or packaging manufacturing is a strong plus
• Technical training or certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair foam molding machines, cutting equipment, and packaging lines
• Perform preventative maintenance on presses, conveyors, and air systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Work with steam systems, boilers, and temperature-controlled equipment used in EPS production
• Maintain and repair motors, belts, conveyors, and automated systems
• Complete and track maintenance work orders
• Assist with equipment changeovers and new equipment installations
• Partner with production to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO)
