About The Position
Mennel Milling is hiring a Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve the reliability, safety, and performance of plant equipment, machinery, and processing systems. The role supports food safety and operational excellence at the Fostoria Union location. The position is full-time, with shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends and potential holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A 2-year degree or educational equivalent in a technical or industrial field such as electronics, mechatronics, mechanics, welding, automation, or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to operate lifts, hoists, and overhead cranes.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in flour milling, food processing, or a related manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize plant reliability and production efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and equipment testing to support safe and effective operations.
- Support food safety, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA requirements while maintaining an audit-ready facility and clean work environment.
