About The Position

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for ensuring all equipment and the physical structure of the plant are in good working order. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing machinery, and supporting production and quality teams. The role requires adherence to all company safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; OR 4 years’ direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and execute work orders.
  • Ability to write daily reports.
  • Ability to translate equipment manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all daily preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain production lines in top mechanical condition to minimize downtime.
  • Set up, visually inspect, and test machinery to ensure proper operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve machinery problems quickly.
  • Dismantle malfunctioning machinery, replace or repair faulty parts.
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain key machinery components.
  • Assist production and quality teams with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Take on additional duties as required to ensure efficient plant operation.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the plant.
  • Assist with overall plant maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.
