About The Position

We, at Leggett & Platt, are searching for a Maintenance Technician within our Flooring Products team to support our Flooring business. Our flooring products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material. If you join our team, your work will help bring comfort to homes and businesses around the world. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact production uptime, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance. You'll join a collaborative, hands-on team that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Services qualification or equivalent technical training.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, machining, or pipe fitting.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Install and repair motors, relays, sensors, wiring, and other industrial electrical components.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work to support equipment repairs and improvements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
