About The Position

Ivy Tech Evansville seeks a Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining the facility as well as insuring a safe and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

  • At least three years’ experience in related trade.
  • Requires electrical, HVAC, and plumbing experience along with a valid driver's license.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • First-aid/CPR certified.
  • Requires routine standing, walking, lifting (50 Ibs. or greater) and carrying.
  • Requires climbing, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching on an occasional basis.
  • Requires the ability to hear, talk, see, and read on a constant basis.
  • This is an in-person position at our campus in Evansville, IN. Remote work is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate Degree in a maintenance related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Provides plumbing and electrical repairs and installation.
  • Provides assistance to other College areas.
  • Provides remodeling services.
  • Provides computer and phone network cabling and installation.
  • Provides equipment repairs for various departments.
  • Responds to fire alarms during work hours.
  • Assists in snow and ice removal.
  • Responds to after hours emergencies if required.
  • Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.
