About The Position

North American Stamping is expanding and looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is for 3rd shift at their TNN2 facility in Portland, TN, with hours from 9:45 PM to 6:15 AM. The role's primary objective is to ensure production equipment is maintained in a safe and operable condition to support efficient production of quality parts. This includes implementing predictive and proactive maintenance systems to prevent costly and unscheduled downtime.

Requirements

3 years previous experience as a maintenance technician is required.
Automotive background required.
Strong electrical background
Strong mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair
Technical skills necessary in the areas of industrial electricity, PLC controls, hydraulics and pneumatics
Good communication skills
Technical skills necessary to follow OSHA requirements
PC knowledge and experience
High School Diploma
Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
Must be able to see, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and reach with hands as needed to service equipment.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with heavy duty mechanical presses preferred.
Preferred associate degree related to Industrial Maintenance

Responsibilities

Ensures that production and related equipment is ready to meet customer requirements.
Troubleshoot problems on production and related equipment. This includes PLC, press controls and weld controls.
Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.
Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for production related equipment.
Complete work from project list as assigned by Maintenance Manager
Requisition supplies and spare parts for maintenance areas and keep these areas organized.
Maintain a clean work area.
Work with outside tradesmen as required.
Available for overtime as required.
Available for training as required.
Suggest methods for improvements, i.e continuous improvement plans
Ensure maintenance repair requests are being addressed, resolved, and returned for proper record keeping in a timely manner.
Assist in TS 16949 implementation and maintenance as required.
