The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Department and maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots production machinery—including CNC mills and lathes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems—and facility infrastructure. The position also maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs building operating systems or arranges for their repair. The Technician performs preventive and necessary maintenance and repairs on building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well as production machinery and process equipment. Work includes lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts, and periodic equipment testing. The role monitors building systems, including life safety, fire protection, and security, and responds to or reports unusual conditions. It also involves repairing equipment or developing and presenting alternative repair options, sometimes implementing a temporary solution to keep production running while a technically correct repair is identified. The Technician uses preventive-maintenance and work-order software, completes assigned work to support site safety and continuous operations, and helps maintain a safe work environment. Success requires proactive work with minimal supervision, effective prioritization and task execution, and clear communication.
