About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical. This role involves troubleshooting CNC drives and motors, performing machine repairs, and correcting setups, tooling, and malfunctions. The technician will operate personnel lifts and forklifts, and perform repairs and adaptations of equipment such as changing air, grease, and coolant lines, switches, belts, and guards. They will also fabricate miscellaneous items from wood, metal, and Plexiglas, and build or fabricate devices to improve quality and production. The role requires the use of hand and power tools, moving equipment, and performing plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering, and inventory supply check-in/out using a CMMS system. Additionally, the technician will look up MRO parts using the CMMS system, provide information for ordering repair parts, and rebuild machines as required. This includes all non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep, evaluating/repairing/replacing electrical motors and components, wiring machines, and installing new equipment. Basic PLC maintenance and adherence to all safety requirements and 5S practices are also essential.

Requirements

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints.
  • Certified forklift operator.
  • Welding skills.
  • Industrial electricity/wiring knowledge.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.

  • Ability to operate forklifts.
  • Experience with CMMS system for parts lookup and inventory management.
