About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical. This role involves CNC troubleshooting, machine repair, and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition. The technician will also be responsible for operating personnel lifts and forklifts, performing various equipment repairs and adaptations, and fabricating miscellaneous items. Additionally, the role includes building devices to improve quality and production, using hand and power tools, moving equipment, and performing plumbing and welding tasks. The position also requires maintaining inventory supply using a CMMS system, looking up MRO parts, and rebuilding machines as required. All non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep are also part of the responsibilities, including evaluating, repairing, and replacing electrical motors and components, wiring machines, installing new equipment, and performing basic PLC maintenance. Adherence to all safety requirements and practicing 5Ss are essential.

Requirements

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints.
  • Certified fork lift operator.
  • Welding.
  • Industrial electricity/wiring.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical.
  • Troubleshoot CNC drives and motors.
  • Perform machine repair.
  • Troubleshoot and correct setups, tooling, and malfunctions.
  • Operate personnel lifts.
  • Operate forklifts.
  • Perform repairs and adaptations of equipment, such as changing air, grease, and coolant lines, switches, belts, and guards.
  • Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal, and Plexiglas.
  • Build or fabricate devices to improve quality and production.
  • Use hand and power tools.
  • Move equipment.
  • Perform plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, and soldering.
  • Perform maintenance and inventory supply check in/out using CMMS system.
  • Look up MRO parts using CMMS system, and if not available, provide all relevant information to clerk, engineer, or manager for prompt order of repair parts and rebuild machines as required.
  • Perform all non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep.
  • Evaluate, repair, and replace electrical motors and components.
  • Wire machines.
  • Install new equipment to meet all production needs.
  • Perform basic PLC maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
  • Practice 5Ss.
