About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of the company. The role involves running service calls, repairing various equipment and systems, and ensuring the proper and safe operation of all company assets. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for documentation, maintaining positive working relationships, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Tenure of at least 1 year in previous positions.
  • At least 5 years of recent related experience.
  • Knowledge in the following trades: Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, and Electrical.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment.
  • Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment, i.e., forklifts.
  • Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exhibit ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Work efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Possess the physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of the company.
  • Run service calls.
  • Repair plumbing, electric, mechanical, carpentry, and various types of equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain proper scheduling of assigned duties and obtain necessary materials to perform cost-effective maintenance and repair activities.
  • Report issues, problems, or items affecting (or potentially affecting) the proper and safe operation of equipment.
  • Prioritize assigned maintenance work to properly execute emergency and/or mechanical failure response.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all assigned maintenance policies, procedures, and schematics.
  • Maintain an acceptable log of planned and executed maintenance activities.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other persons associated with the company.
  • Other duties assigned.
