To strengthen our motivated Maintenance Team at our plant in Indianapolis, IN we are looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with applicable technical training
  • Minimum 3 years mechanical, electronic, or other maintenance related experience
  • Technical knowledge of electrical maintenance
  • Knowledge of industrial machine repair or operation experience
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive and a self-starter
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs on a consistent basis

Nice To Haves

  • Team leader experience or training
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical printing or packaging industry
  • Hot work, lock out tag out, hazmat, or OSHA certification training

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an effective parts inventory that will allow repairs to be completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure spare parts are on hand for high demand machines, proactively planning and ordering as needed to provide stabilized machine performance.
  • Order parts and interact with vendors until order and/or repair is complete.
  • Prioritize repairs for issues that arise within the building.
  • Troubleshoot electronic and electrical issues across all departments.
  • Read and interpret maintenance requests and complete as needed both electronically and manual.
  • Maintain a safe work area and exhibit safe work habits at all times in areas around machines.
  • Understand and practice cGMPs, standard procedures and work instructions.
  • Use good judgment and consistency when making or directing repairs and/or adjustments on machines.
  • Provide timely feedback to Department Managers and Production Supervisors of machine condition and potential upcoming issues as noticed during preventative maintenance upkeep.
  • Assist with machine evaluations and mechanical condition audits.
  • Work closely with area managers on machine failures and corrective actions.
  • Assist other Maintenance staff as needed in completing repairs.
  • Assist Maintenance Lead in directing, coaching and mentoring less experienced Maintenance staff.
  • Share knowledge with machine operators to develop them into self-sufficient, productive employees.
  • All other duties as reasonably requested.
