About The Position

Pivotal, a leader in affordable housing development and operations, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its Churchview Gardens community in Peoria, IL. This part-time role involves providing high-quality service to residents, ensuring the routine maintenance of the property's physical integrity, and responding to emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive demeanor, and the ability to manage shifting priorities. This position utilizes a Maintenance Mobile app for work orders, and a stipend is provided for using a personal smartphone.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours)
  • Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies
  • Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders by using smartphone applications

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC training and certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents
  • Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation)
  • Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary
  • Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Be responsive to on-call emergencies
