Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience using basic hand and electrical tools.
  • Willing to participate in on-call, weekend, or irregular-hour rotations as needed.
  • Able to learn new skills and acquire technical knowledge through on-the-job training.
  • Can read technical manuals, follow instructions, and perform basic math and measurements.

Nice To Haves

  • Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC experience and certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance to keep community buildings, grounds, and equipment in safe, working condition.
  • Complete assigned work orders, documenting repairs accurately and closing them promptly upon completion.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other building systems within your scope of training.
  • Perform apartment turnovers and renovations, including patching, painting, cleaning, and preparing units for resident move-ins.
  • Replace HVAC filters, light bulbs, and perform general upkeep on building systems and furnishings.
  • Install appliances and equipment, hang pictures, and assemble or disassemble furniture as needed.
  • Assist contractors with on-site work at the direction of leadership.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces, tools, and storage areas.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety procedures, securing work areas and using protective equipment as required.
