About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and annual maintenance on a large assortment of equipment. This role requires the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems, coordinate daily activities with the Maintenance Manager, and maintain plant operations according to OSHA requirements. The technician will also participate in plant housekeeping and assist in maintaining quality system documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to read and use voltage/amp meters, rulers, tape measures, micrometers, pipe threading machine, welder, and forklift
  • Ability to use pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, vise grips, screw drivers, hammers, drills, grinders, saws, hydraulic pumps, torch welders, multimeters, pressure gages, lockout/tagout devices, and all safety equipment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics, hydraulic and electrical
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 1500 lbs. on mold carts or crane system
  • Ability to operate a forklift and pass a driving and written test
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice including Saturdays and Holidays
  • Ability to work in unusual, cramped, or confined spaces
  • Ability to climb an 18’ ladder and work on roofs
  • Ability to perform routine and annual maintenance on a large assortment of equipment
  • Ability to follow a written schedule of numbers and dates
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities with the Maintenance Manager
  • Perform maintenance programs per quality system standards at the Maintenance Manager’s direction
  • Maintain Uptime while other duties are being performed
  • Contribute to Productivity Improvements
  • Ensure machine performance and cleanliness
  • Troubleshoot both hydraulic and electric problems on all equipment
  • Provide feedback to Maintenance Manager regarding machine performance and condition
  • Participate in plant housekeeping activities
  • Assist in maintaining all quality system documentation
  • Maintain plant according to all OSHA requirements
  • Perform any other activities or duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager
