About The Position

Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plant’s business goals and objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a CMMS system
  • Knowledge of computer programs to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Electrical: Read and interpret electrical drawings, rebuild motors starters, wire motors, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on 480 V and 13 kv systems, and lighting circuits.
  • Instrumental: PLC programming experience, knowledge of NFPA code requirements for burners, calibration of pressure transmitters and thermocouples, troubleshooting 4-29 ma dc and 3-15 psi control circuits, and calibration of DP transmitters.
  • Millwright skills include lubrication, alignment of motors and equipment of direct and belt drive, vibration monitoring, rebuild pumps, replace bearings and shaft conveyors, rebuild and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
  • Other: Rigging, staging, piping, and equipment replacement.
  • Certified Electrician
  • AWS Certified Welder

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain plant equipment.
  • Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the department.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situation to proper supervision.
  • Comply with MSHA regulations and maintain safe, clean and orderly work areas.
  • Follow safe work practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform work in accordance with all applicable State and Federal mining laws.
  • Commit to and support Company’s Quality Policy and Objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
