About The Position

PLK Communities, an owner and manager of residential apartment communities, is seeking a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician. The technician assists in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of residents, visitors, and staff. The role includes property and apartment maintenance, completing work orders, maintaining grounds and common areas, and responding to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation. HVAC service and repair is included, with willingness to train.

Requirements

• Maintenance or handyman experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Own or have access to tools including a hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, and flashlight.
• Able to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform property maintenance needs.
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Complete work orders.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical and mechanical systems maintenance.
• Repair small appliances.
• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
• Perform HVAC service and repair.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.
