About The Position

The Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician plays a key role in both installation and service of gate systems and commercial security technologies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, low-voltage systems, and customer interaction, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term career.

Requirements

• Experience with low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, intrusion, or cabling)
• Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot commercial security systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the field
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical field

Nice To Haves

• Experience with gate automation systems
• HVAC, electrical, or construction background

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot gate systems (slide, swing, lift, crash gates), parking revenue control systems, bollards and barrier systems.
• Support installation and service of low-voltage and security systems, including access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance, security/intrusion systems, fire alarm systems, voice/data cabling and structured wiring, wired and wireless networks, and paging and telephone entry systems.
• Program, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access systems.
• Provide on-site customer service, including system training and support.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians.
• Travel to job sites throughout Ohio as needed.
