The Maintenance Technician performs expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance, including diagnosing problems, dismantling devices, examining parts, making adjustments, and repairing or replacing defective components. This role involves identifying and sourcing necessary parts and supplies, evaluating alternatives for cost and reliability improvement, and independently performing maintenance according to industry standards. The technician will collaborate with a Planner Scheduler to optimize preventative maintenance procedures. Responsibilities may also include setting up and operating various machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and performing welding tasks. Compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards is essential. The technician leads, drives, and participates in continuous improvement (CI) activities, providing assistance to lower-level technicians and leadership to project teams. Key duties include troubleshooting and analyzing complex control systems, utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to collect and analyze equipment performance data, and updating records in CMMS. Continuous professional development through on-the-job training and self-study programs is expected. Adherence to all safety policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines, including identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions, is mandatory.
