About The Position

Our compressed weekend shift gives you both higher earnings and more weekdays off. Weekend Maintenance Technicians work 24 scheduled hours but receive pay equivalent to 36 hours and remain eligible for full benefits. The Geneva, IL plant has been operating since 1960 and employs more than 265 people. We operate six days per week and are proud to support our community through organizations like The Salvation Army. Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance mechanic experience (manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Technical training in mechanical or electrical systems (PLC knowledge preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and production specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and basic computer/data entry skills
  • Must supply and maintain personal hand tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (sponsorship not available)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and work required weekend/OT schedule

  • PLC knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and plant systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility issues
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
  • Install and adjust machinery, controls, power systems, and utilities
  • Operate machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, welder, etc.)
  • Create and document work orders; track parts and maintenance activity
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all PPE standards
