About The Position
The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to help keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently at The Andersons’ Maumee Agribusiness Grain and Plant Nutrient/Industrial locations. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, carrying out emergency repairs, interpreting technical drawings and manuals, and using computerized maintenance systems to support reliability and uptime. A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement is essential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience required.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to climb, stoop, or kneel at heights up to 100 feet.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment and building interiors and exteriors.
- Maintain the computerized preventative maintenance system.
- Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of safety policies and standards related to the position.
- Work safely, recognize unsafe situations, and take appropriate action to protect oneself and others in the building.
- Assist with plant activities as required.
