About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a full-time position in multi-family residential properties. The role involves performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep. The ideal candidate will be responsible for routine inspections, preventative maintenance, emergency response, and maintaining accurate records. This is a hands-on, skilled position focused on technical maintenance, not janitorial duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC, EPA Universal Certification REQUIRED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of residential units to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Perform skilled repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, and general building maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical maintenance issues promptly.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Upgrade or replace equipment as needed to maintain compliance with safety and energy standards.
  • Be available for on-call duty to respond to urgent maintenance emergencies (leaks, outages, HVAC failures).
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and inventory.
  • Track and report expenses to management.
  • Interact with residents courteously and professionally when performing maintenance tasks or responding to service requests.
  • Address concerns and complete service requests efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
  • Conduct safety inspections regularly and take corrective action.
