About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure the community is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. This role supports the overall property condition by completing work orders, assisting with make-ready units, and maintaining building systems. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering a positive resident experience through timely service and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • A current and valid drivers license is required.
  • 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or a related field
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Ability to complete physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • All qualified candidates will be subject to drug testing and a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • EPA certification
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, or similar)
  • Previous multifamily experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
  • Ensure all repairs are completed to company standards and documented accurately
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
  • Assist with property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents, including repairs, cleaning coordination, and final inspections
  • Assist with trash-outs and ensure units meet company standards for move-in readiness
  • Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community
  • Assist with groundskeeping and common area upkeep as needed
  • Identify and report any hazards or maintenance concerns throughout the property
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials
  • Interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors
  • Respond to maintenance requests with a customer-focused approach
  • Collaborate with the onsite team to support overall property operations
