About The Position

The second shift Maintenance Technician works a 4 day /10 hour schedule, Sunday through Wednesday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment, as well as plant facilities. The technician will perform calibration of instruments, preventive maintenance, and assist with special projects. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years supervising Production, Processing, and Packaging Equipment.
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Certificated on at least on one of fallowing Technical Field Mechanic, Electric, HVAC, Welding, or Pluming.
  • Knowledge of 5S and GMPs.
  • Experience on Clean rooms environment.
  • Computer skills required: Certificate of welding, Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook word, Excel, and PowerPoint. List others for you Roles (CRM, MRP, ERI, etc.).
  • Ability to travel between facilities.

  • Ability to travel up 30 miles.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment and the plant facilities, including but not limited to pumps, motors, low pressure boiler, air compressors, conveyor, heat sealers, printers, labelers, blowers, warehouse dock doors, dehydrator, mill, blender, carts, and chillers.
  • Communicate appropriate information about equipment and repairs to operational personnel, supervisors, and management.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Perform calibration of instruments such as temperature gages, thermocouples, pressure gages, flowmeters, scales, and maintain records according to the calibration plan.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Close out work orders using web-based Maintenance Management System.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Communicate with equipment suppliers for technical support.
  • Comply with safety regulations, food safety program, and other standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
