About The Position

Sandalwood Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist with general maintenance and upkeep of our Underwood Properties on Laurel Street in Hartford, CT. We are seeking a certified HVAC technician experienced in HUD compliance and industry standards. Someone who is proactive in managing high-volume tasks and available for emergency after-hour calls.

Requirements

• 1+ years of multifamily housing maintenance experience and knowledge in repairs, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, building exteriors, appliance repair and installations, etc.
• Valid driver’s license
• EPA Universal license
• Experience with HUD compliance
• Bi-Lingual
• Ability to work on-call, evenings and rotating weekends
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug test

• Certified HVAC technician

Responsibilities

• Perform various maintenance repairs in electrical, plumbing, pool, masonry, carpentry, painting, building exteriors, and appliances.
• Prepare vacant units.
• Complete work orders.
• Maintain grounds.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance programs and special projects as required.
• Other maintenance duties as assigned.
