Maintenance Technician - Residential Properties

About The Position
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of residential units and common areas to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained living environment for residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school a plus)
- 2–5+ years of maintenance experience (residential or commercial)
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently
- Basic computer skills for work order systems
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests (work orders) in a timely manner
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of units and buildings
- Troubleshoot and repair: HVAC systems, Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures), Electrical (outlets, lighting, minor wiring)
- Prepare vacant units for new residents (turns/make-readies)
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls (on-call rotation)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
