Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Ski's Truck & RV Sales is looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician to join our service team and prepare campers/RVs for customer pickup. Applicants must have 1-3 years of experience working on RVs or in a service/repair facility. This role involves completing the testing of all camper components, performing repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems, conducting diagnostic tests, and providing excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction. The technician will also collaborate with team members, maintain a clean work area, and connect campers to show customers how all aspects of the RV/camper work upon purchase.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience working on RVs or in a service/repair facility.
- Individual should have repair/service ability and aptitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (1-3 years) in RV shop, maintenance repair, or a similar field is needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Requires valid driver's license and good work/attendance record.
Nice To Haves
- Strong HVAC skills a plus.
- RV knowledge a plus.
- Knowledge of RV systems and components is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Effectively complete the testing of all camper components as indicated on the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) sheet and meet or exceed testing performance efficiencies.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, winterizations, and warranty work on campers/RVs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems as needed.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify any issues and determine the appropriate solutions.
- Effectively connect campers and show customers how all aspects of the RV/camper work upon purchase.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; assist with cleaning shop as needed.
