About The Position
Newbury Living is hiring a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their high-performing team in Des Moines, Iowa. This position will cover 3 properties: Connolly Lofts, Keystone on 8th, and Woodland Office Park. This role offers the opportunity to make a difference in the community, provide excellent maintenance service to tenants, and work with a team that values expertise.
Requirements
- Experienced in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- A team player with great problem-solving abilities
- Communicates clearly and professionally – both written and verbal
- Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Holds a valid Iowa driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience
Responsibilities
- Performing apartment turnovers and ensuring units are move-in ready
- Handling maintenance repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general systems
- Conducting preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoothly
- Completing property inspections and coordinating with vendors as needed
- Providing exceptional resident service and communication
- Participating in after-hours emergency response/coordination
