About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team, working a night shift. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of our pyrolysis reactors and associated equipment. You will be responsible for conducting routine and preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, and monitoring process parameters to optimize production. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and teamwork, operating within an active chemical recycling plant environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred.
  • 2+ years in industrial maintenance (manufacturing, chemical processing, or recycling); pyrolysis experience a plus.
  • Essential: Building/plumbing/electrical repairs, industrial 480V wiring, Mig/Arc welding, fabrication.
  • Strong grasp of schematics, blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently while prioritizing safety.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
  • Handle industrial exposures (PPE provided).
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and learning.

  • A reliable team player who works well with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communicator—able to share information clearly with peers and leaders.
  • A problem-solver with good decision-making skills.
  • Computer literate (basic email and control system use).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on pyrolysis reactors, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient rCB production.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical controls (PLC systems, sensors, wiring) in high-temperature, high-pressure settings.
  • Maintain mechanical components (bearings, gears, fluid systems), applying knowledge of pressure effects on fluid flows in pumping during gas condensation and oil recovery.
  • Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates) with operations teams, troubleshooting to optimize syngas and rCB yields.
  • Perform millwrighting tasks like alignment, fabrication, and installation in tire processing and finishing lines.
  • Document activities, manage parts inventory, and support continuous improvements via teamwork and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, handling byproducts like tire-derived oil.
  • Cross-training across the entire production process.
  • All other duties as assigned.
