The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the PCPF-O&M department, which is responsible for maintaining mission critical, 24/7 facility operations that directly impact patient care. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring reliability, safety, and continuous uptime of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in a highly collaborative, accountability-driven environment. The Maintenance Technician will contribute to this mission by supporting facility operations that enable uninterrupted clinical services and patient care delivery. The Maintenance Technician role requires strong technical skills, independence during overnight operations, and effective coordination with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings a combination of hands-on multi-trade experience and strong interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications emphasize experience in plumbing, electrical work, and customer service, along with exposure to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Candidates should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently on weekend night shifts, and capable of maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism in a healthcare or similarly critical environment.
